Villa EUR • Rome
Renovation of a villa surrounded by nature in Rome, in the EUR district, the heart of Italian rationalism.
This 280 square meter, multi-level villa overlooks a large garden and its exposure allows natural light to flood into the various rooms throughout the day. A unique sliding glass façade characterizes one side of the villa, with the garden it faces becoming a natural, vivid scenery. Inside, the transparency of the glass walls creates a screen between the living, sleeping and bathing areas. The living room opens to a contemporary masonry kitchen and is characterized by the presence of a fireplace built on site that cuts a protruding wall. The essential furnishings, with iconic twentieth-century pieces alongside vintage or retro pop objects, help the different areas communicate with each other and with the outdoor space.
